In „Farm der Tiere“ geht es darum, wie Tiere auf einer Farm gegen ihren bösen Besitzer rebellieren und die Farm selbst übernehmen. Sie wollen eine bessere Welt, in der alle gleich sind. Zuerst läuft alles gut, aber nach und nach übernehmen die Schweine die Macht und werden genauso schlimm wie der alte Besitzer. Das Buch zeigt, wie Macht Menschen (oder Tiere) korrumpieren kann und dass Revolutionen nicht immer das gewünschte Ergebnis bringen. Am Ende merken die anderen Tiere, dass sie wieder unterdrückt werden, nur diesmal von den Schweinen.
