A note from Daniel

The evolutionary biologist E. O. Wilson once described analogy as "the key instrument of the creative imagination." As he notes, the cost of information is falling even as access to it increases. The challenge is how to synthesize it in a useful way. "We are drowning in in-formation, while starving for wisdom. The world henceforth will be run by synthesizers, people able to put together the right information at the right time, think critically about it, and make important choices wisely."
