A note from Daniel

Summary of this chapter: We moved from a world of virtue game as the main status game defined and dominated by religious institutions for centuries to a new game of competence and success started by group of intellectuals and scholars in the pursuit of accumulating and producing new knowledge that was later adopted by a new group of craftsmen, merchants, inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs. This new game enabled 2 things: - A new way for gaining status for individuals that were not part of royalties and religious institutions - Collective prosperity for all humans in terms of health, wealth, and life expectancy
