A note from Daniel

Whereas wallets are mostly used by individuals, “treasuries” make it easy for larger groups to coordinate. On Ethereum, you can write a treasury application that puts a community, often called a DAO, or decentralized autonomous organization, in control. The community can vote on how to administer the treasury's assets, such as by funding software development, security audits, operations, marketing, R&D, public goods, charitable donations, or educational initiatives. Both wallets and treasuries can also be set to autopilot, automatically investing or disbursing money, or engaging in other programmatic activities.
