A note from Daniel

At a high level, markets are groups of companies or stakeholders. The more companies that are included in a market, the more dissimilar the companies will be. While they may fit the same top-level label (e.g. e-commerce companies), there will be major differences between the organizations. Amazon is nothing like your aunt's arts & craft store. These differences impact needs, goals, priorities, and behaviors. The more companies you include in a market, the less precisely you will be able to address customer needs. This is part of the reason why early on, you want to make your market small, not big.
