A note from Daniel

Today (2005), of the $17 trillion in the United States stock markets, over $14 trillion is from pension funds, banking funds, insurance funds, and mutual funds. As a group, these are known as the institutional funds. They're usually quite large — typically investing over S1 billion. So, as a group, they are Mr. Market. They control the price of any stock they're investing in. If they put more money in, the price goes up. If they take their money out, the price goes down.
