A note from Daniel

The best way to uncover valuable insights about a product’s functional, emotional, and social jobs, is through user interviews. Understanding your users through customer research is the key to improving user onboarding and retention. Find the patterns in the stories of people who understand your product and understand what got them so excited to continue using it. To do this, talk to five types of people: 1. New users - people who just signed up 2. Shoppers - people who are evaluating your product 3. Active customers - people who are regularly using your product 4. Inactive customers - people who are still paying for your product but stopped using it 5. Churned customers - people who have cancelled their account
