A note from Daniel

If we can't classify something, if we can't label it and figure out where it belongs, we can't build relationships between individual units. If every animal and plant was considered only as an individ-ual, the world would be overwhelming. Being able to group trees into the category "maple," or certain flying insects into the category "wasp," helps us navigate our world, making decisions about how to interact with it.
