The argument that can be made about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is that money and possessions could be reframed as only basic needs, assuming that you have enough to reach the higher levels of the pyramid. An infinite amount of money will not make you happier, but an infinite amount of creative activities and ability to master new skills will.
