Having an app succeed in, say, a single high school or a single B2B customer seems trivial. But it’s actually the first and the most important step in building a network product is building an engaged first atomic network and succeeding with that.

Getting this initial network off the ground is the key, and the key is the "atomic network"_ the smallest, stable network from which all other networks can be built.
