A note from Daniel

The first Tool in our kit is the MACD - moving average convergence divergence. the MACD is probably the most consistent indicator of significant trend changes in a stock, and it's certainly the most commonly used technical indicator in the world. Essentially, what it does is look at several price average changes over time, generally in the short term. It shows us when momentum pressure is getting stronger either upward or downward - like a gauge on a fire hose. Since most of the money in the market is institutional, in effect the MACD shows us when the big guys are sneaking in or sneaking out.
