The Big Bang Launch: Perhaps it's more of a wide launch across press, social media, and paid marketing. Maybe it's accompanied by a big push from a company's main products sending over a ton of users all at once. A big email marketing campaign will go out, and links to the new product will appear in prominent places, like the main app's home page. The intent is the same: launch big with the best product, get in front of as many people as possible, and draw a lot of new users and customers. Get the press, influencers, partners, and key users excited, and the network will be built from these most important nodes down into the individual users.

The solution to the Cold Start Problem starts by understanding how to add a small group of the right people, at the same time, us-ling the product in the right way. Getting this initial network off the ground is the key, and the key is the "atomic network"_ the smallest, stable network from which all other networks can be built.
